From July’2017 Flipkart started selling wide range of Smartphones in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier the state Government had mandated online buyers who bought any product exceeding Rs 5,000 in value to file a VAT declaration, along with the registration number of the vehicle bringing the products from outside the state, virtually ending online sale of valuable items in the country’s most populous state.
Now after implementation of GST, these hurdles have been wiped out and now fellow of U.P. can enjoy buying Smartphones from Flipkart.
